Ivanka, in a statement on Wednesday, said she will be a Special Assistant to the President but will not take a salary. Ivanka, whose husband Jared Kushner also works as a senior aide to the president, will not receive a salary for her work as a federal employee. Buhari deploys four of 45 newly confirmed ambassadors President Muhammadu Buhari has deployed four of the 45 ambassadors recently approved by the Senate to some foreign missions. The deployment was announced this Friday on the president’s twitter handle. The names of the ambassadors deployed were Tijjani Bande from Kebbi State; Itegboje Samson, Edo State; Kadiri Audu, Kwara State and Bankole Adeoye, Ogun State. Bande was deployed as Ambassador/Representative to the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, while Samson will serve as Ambassador/Deputy Representative, at the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the UN Headquarters in New York.
