But Mr Trump backed away from his call a day earlier to send Sayfullo Saipov to Guantanamo Bay, saying "that process takes much longer". The suspect, who allegedly drove along a Manhattan cycle path killing eight people, told police he "felt good" about Tuesday's Halloween attack. Later, so-called Islamic State (IS) said it had carried out the attack. The attacker was "one of the caliphate soldiers", it said in its weekly al-Naba newspaper, without providing evidence to support the claim. The victims were five Argentines who had travelled to New York to celebrate 30 years since their high school graduation, a young mother from Belgium and two Americans. Five jailed over terror plot in Sydney

Image copyright GETTY IMAGES Four men and a teenager have been jailed in Australia over a plot to carry out a terror attack in Sydney. The plan was foiled by police in New South Wales (NSW) in 2014. The plot had included discussions about targeting an Australian Federal Police building in Sydney and a jail in nearby Lithgow, a court heard. The ringleader, Sulayman Khalid, was described as a "devout terrorist" by a judge who sentenced him to a maximum of 22 years and six months in jail. The Supreme Court of NSW heard that some of those involved in the plot had acquired weapons and ammunition. Three of the accused - Khalid, 22, Jibryl Almaouie, 24, and a boy, 17, who cannot be named - had pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit a terrorist attack. Two other men - Mohamed Almaouie, 22, and Farhad Said, 25 - had admitted a lesser charge of knowingly making a document likely to facilitate a terrorist act. The jihadists are also alleged to have carried out mass abductions, used human shields, intentionally shelled homes, and targeted people trying to flee. "Those responsible must answer for their heinous crimes,"  said UN human rights chief Zeid Raad Al Hussein . He also called for alleged violations by Iraqi forces to be investigated. Mourinho to face Spain tax fraud charges

He is alleged to owe nearly 3.3 million euros (£2.9m, $3.8m) in undeclared image rights revenue. His representatives deny the allegation. There has been no confirmation that Mourinho will attend the hearing, but he has changed his pre-match routine. His pre-match press conference - which usually takes place on a Friday - was instead held on Thursday. Reports say the Manchester United players were also told that their training schedule had been changed.
